The Telfeser Wiesen are a series of lush green meadows at the start of the Stubai Valley, between the villages of Kreith and Telfes. The best time of year to visit this area is spring, when the flowers are in bloom. and autumn, when the leaves in the larch forests turn a beautiful shade of yellow.
Most of the route is flat, with just a few short uphill sections through shady forests and across sunny meadows. As you look into the valley you will see the mighty Serles and Habicht mountains as well as the glaciers of the Stubai Alps a little later on. The return leg can be either completed using the Stubaitalbahn cable car from Telfes or by walking along the same way you came, enjoying views of the Nordkette Mountains overlooking Innsbruck and the impressive Bettelwurf peak to the north-east of the regional capital.
